Mike, I would also like to see Haller and Antonio playing together again. However, even though I hear from the German games that he played well just behind a forward, I don’t see any evidence of that at West Ham. He often drops back about during an attack, but never seems to get the ball and assist a goal?

Nice hold up play and awareness from Haller to set up Cresswell for the chance in the first half. He is by no means absolutely pony as some would have it.

Well done the players and the manager. Given the injuries to Antonio and Masuaku ,3 games in 6 days,2 of those games away against teams above us. I think 5 points is a good return. Most pundits /neutrals would have given us 4 points at most prior to those 3 fixtures.

I suspect Haller would thrive playing alongside Antonio.
The problem is, the only person who could be considered to make way for him, based on recent performance, is Haller himself.

Goes to show what you can achieve if you take to the field with a positive 'we are going to win' mentality. Excellent performance from a team whose spirit and bonding is improving all the time.
Ogbonna immense, Dawson proving many wrong including me, as for the Czechs what an amazing success in the transfer market!! This is where we should look to strengthen the squad in the next few weeks.
As for Haller well I have always believed he would improve but no longer, the difference between him and a half fit Antonio was immense. We should try and move him on now and invest whatever we get in a new striker.

You can't argue with 2 draws and a win from last 3 games in 6 days. We have made huge progress.

Cant stand theaxeman but that is a great result! I do think he is a decent bloke but his grammar is not for me, but hey, I was brought up on John Lyall teams with Brooking and Dev!

I think it was the exile who said that Benrahma would probably be better out wide. I agree. I think he'd be better with more space and less pressure.
That'd probably mean Pablo centrally, which isn't ideal considering how shocking he is in front of goal, but he is a central midfielder after all.

I really want Benny to do well as he's the type of player we need and want to watch play. He's done ok so far but clearly needs to improve. Whether that happens or not over the coming months is hard to predict. The jury is out, as they say.

Axeman I understand that.. but what do you want? 3 games in six days, historically the majority of west ham sides have rarely turned up at Goodison, and that's on a Sat 15.00 with a week's prep
That was a fantastic performance for me.
All about context Axeman.
I was fuming with Moyes after the BHA game, that was a disgrace IMO.
But these last two games have shown that squad's togetherness and fitness levels are significantly improved.
After witnessing the (mostly) dross and humiliation over last 35 yrs, I'll more that take that

Benrahma did well, always seems to get his foot in and break up play, also impressed with his work rate
There were few chances for both teams, Hallers hold up play was Ok, Moyes played it right with the Antonio injury / subs and no. Of games within 6 days. We actually have the best depth of back up for quite a while
